Licences and safety
The paperwork, stated plainly.
A one-person business has no brand to hide behind, so here is the licensing instead. Several of these are legally required to carry paying passengers in New Zealand.
- Small Passenger Service Licence
- To be confirmed
- Passenger endorsement, class P
- To be confirmed
- Certificate of Fitness
- Inspected six-monthly, not annually
- Department of Conservation concession
- To be confirmed
- Independently audited safety plan
- To be confirmed
- Public liability insurance
- To be confirmed
- Tiaki Promise
- Signatory
- Qualmark
- Planned for year two
Every entry above is a placeholder. Nothing on this page goes live without written confirmation, including licence numbers and the insured sum. Publishing an unverified credential is a Fair Trading Act problem, not a tidiness one.
What if I am unwell
This needs a real answer before launch, because a guest planning a ten-day trip will think of it. The options are a named backup guide, or every unused day refunded within five working days. It is a business decision before it is a website one.
